First Shiite Compilation of the Prophetic Hadith

Shiite hadith books are precious heritages which have preserved words of the Infallible Imams in all fields of faith and life. One of these precious heritages is Jami` al-Ahadith (Collection of Hadiths). The author of this article tries to present a picture of the compiler of Jami` al-Ahadith along with an explanation of its characteristics. He holds that this book is the first Shiite compilation of Prophetic hadiths in alphabetical order which its hadiths are not restricted to a specific topic.
