forgiveness and pardon has a deep effect in attraction of publicopinions and provoking affections and feelings in the favor of the pardoner, and this is considered as one of the effective factors in victory.

٣- Replying vice with goodness In Islamic resources, including Quran and traditions, it isreferred to a more significant and higher stage of pardon and forgiveness, that is, replying vice with goodness! Undoubtedly, this deed is the highest manifestation ofhumanistic spirit and requires moral education and specials piritual elegance, and has a miraculous effect in humanizingthe hearts filled with enmity.

And also it is the best" lesson" which one can give to theaggressors and wrongdoers. On the other hand, it is the only" punishment" which does not cause any undesirable reaction inthe wrong doers, and does not invite them to a new aggression.

All of these aspects have resulted in rendering it as one of themost effective ways in ending the enmities and hostilities.

We read in Quran:.

ادْفَعْ بِالَّتِي هِيَ احْسَنُ فَاذَا الَّذِي بَيْنَكَ وَ بَيْنَهُ عَداوَةٌ كَانَّهُ وَلِيٌّ حَمِيمٌ* وَ ما يُلَقّيها الَّا الَّذِينَ صَبَرُوا وَ ما يُلَقّيها الّا ذُو حَظٍّ عَظيمٍ‌ ..

Repel with that which is fairer and behold, he between whomand thee there is enmity shall be as if he was a loyal friend. Yet none shall receive it, except the steadfast; none shall receive it, except a man of mighty fortune.. [١]
