And somewhere else it says :.

وَ جادِلْهُمْ بِالَّتِي هِىَ احْسَنُ‌ ..

And dispute with them in the better way.. [١]

In the above two verses, the discussions lacking" fairermanner" and" better way" are prohibited. They are the samediscussions having a sympathetic aspect and accompanied withkindness, courtesy, compassion, and do not leave any ill ornegative effect on the other party.

Even in some cases, God officially instructs His Prophet S. A. to choose silence against the aggression of opponents, andabsolutely avoid the discussions, the end of which is dispute andobstinacy ..

وَ انْ جادَلُوكَ فَقُلِ اللَّهُ اعْلَمُ بِما تَعْمَلُونَ‌ ..

And if they dispute with thee, do thou say," God knows verywell what you are doing.". [٢]

In the several traditions, discussion is prohibited throug hdifferent subtle interpretations disclosing a series of mental points:

. قالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه و آله: «ذَرُوا الْمِراءَ فَانَّهُ لا تُفْهَمُ حِكْمَتُهُ وَلا تُؤْمَنُ فِتْنَتُهُ» ..

The Prophet S. A. said: Avoid dispute because its wisdom isnot understood and there is no security against its sedition.. [٣]

وَ قالَ صلى الله عليه و آله: «لا يَسْتَكْمِلُ عَبْدٌ حَقِيقَةَ الْايمانِ حَتّى‌ يَدَعَ الْمِراءَ وَ انْ كانَ مُحِقّاً» ..

And he said: No one fulfills the reality of belief, unless heleaves dispute, although he is right.. [٤]
