After the Nonviolence Declaration was issued by the political opposition societies, or even before, it would have been most appropriate for the Government to issue a similar declaration addressing the security forces and all security agencies in Bahrain, including torturers and those who raid homes and flood residential areas with toxic gasses for no reason.

But nothing of this has happened, and the situation remains at it is.

The longer the movement ,the more intransigent the Authority becomes

Why did the peoples movement start and where is it now? The peoples movement have erupted as a result of the suffering from injustice, fear, disenfranchi sement, humiliation and margin alization.

The demands movement has removed fear from the people, although the reasons of fear have increased. Never the less their pride rose and so did their demand to retrieve their rights and to be recognized. But the Authoritys ongoing humiliation and the looting of rights and disregard to the people has crossed lines. Not to mention that deprivation escalated and exclusion increased. As days and months pass on the peoples movement, the more intransigent the Authority becomes to fiercely face the people. Bullets, bird shots, toxic gas canisters were aimed at the heads and chests of protesters demanding democracy and freedom under the pretext that they were participating in an unauthorized protest, even if the protest was completely peaceful.
