A year has passed on the ٤١ th of February ١١٠٢; the beginning of the nationwide reform movement in its new series. The movement is escalating and widening, its roots are deepening and its far from shrinking or receding.

The first anniversary of the ٤١ th February revolution came to show clearly that the gap between the Government and the people is diverging not converging. This is opposite to what we wish and hope for. Unfortunately, the Government is stubborn and resistant to the demands of the people, it is insisting on violence and the use of force, whilst the people are insisting on the necessity of their demands and their right to gain them. The people are not willing to waive their demands, and they are willing to sacrifice anything for this.

This was the clear language of the days ahead of the anniversary of the revolution, a message to the inside and abroad. By this, we can say that none of the methods of political deceit and circumvention, and the empty political solutions of the regime for over a whole year have made any difference. Neither did the Gulf military assistance and the official Arab encouragements, or the international silence. Even the methods of terrorism and repression that were used against the people by the Government leaving them under great sufferings, have not brought the people to surrender. All this failed to crush the peoples determination to gain their rights. In fact, on the contrary, it has increased it, and strengthened and expanded the opposition.
