I have never known anyone like him." Abu I:Iatim and al-NasaI said, "His transmis sion is rejected." Al-Daraqutni said, "He is a liar." He also said, in hisIlal, "He was weak in transmitting the traditions, well known for that." Ibn I:Iabban said, "It is improper to record his traditions except to express astonishment." Aba Dawad al-Tayalisi said, "He was a liar." Al-Sitji said, "He is to be rejected. He fabricates the traditions." Al-Azdi said, "He is weak and unrecognized."
