possible that there is blood in her interior part she should place some
cotton in her private parts and wait for some time and then take it out.
And if as a result of this action it transpires that she has been
purified of blood she should take bath and perform her acts of worship.
And if she has not been purified of blood and she does not have a habit
of menses or her habit is ١٠ days she should wait so that if she is
purified before ١٠ days or her blood extends beyond ١٠ days, she should
take bath at the end of ١٠ days. And if her habit is for less than ١٠
days and she knows that she will be purified of blood before tim@
completion of ١٠ days, or at the end of ١٠ days, she should not take
bath. And if it is probable that blood will come even after ١٠ days, she
should abandon the acts of worship for one day and thereafter it is
permissible for her to follow the orders relating to istihaza. However
precaution is that till the lOth day she should refrain from all those
things which it is not permissible for a haiz to perform, and should act
according to the obligations of a mustahaza. And this rule is
particularly for that woman whose blood was not discharged regularly
before her habit was formed. Otherwise it is not permissible for her to
abandon her acts of worship after the period of her habit has passed.
٥١٣. If a woman treats the blood discharged
during a few days to be menses and does not perform her acts of worship
but comes to know later that it was not menses she should perform qaza
of the lapsed prayers, and fasts, which she did not observe during those
days. And if she performs acts of worship under the impression that the
blood is not menses but realizes later that it was menses and has also
been observing obligatory fasts during those days, she should perform
qaza of those fasts.
