وَحَرْبٌ لِمَنْ حَارَبَكُمْ،

WA HARBUN LEMAN HAARABAKUM

you and I am at war with those who are at war with you

وَوَلِيٌّ لِمَنْ وَالاَكُمْ، وَعَدُوٌّ لِمَنْ عَادَاكُمْ،

WA WALIYYUN LEMAN WALAKUM WA 'ADUWWUN LEMAN 'ADAAKUM

and I am a friends to those who are friends to you and I am an enemy to those who are enemies to you.

فَأَسْأَلُ اللّهَ الَّذِي أَكْرَمَنِي بِمَعْرِفَتِكُمْ، وَمَعْرِفَةِ أَوْلِيَآئِكُمْ،

FA AS-ALULLAAHALLAZEE AKRAMANY BE MA'REFATEKUM WA MAA'REFATE AWLEYAEKUM

So then I ask Allah who has honoured me with a cognizance of all of you and a cognizance of your friends

وَرَزَقَنِي الْبَرَاءَةَ مِنْ أَعْدَائِكُمْ، أَنْ يَجْعَلَنِي مَعَكُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَالآخِرَةِ،

WA RAZAQANIL BARA-ATA MIN A'DA-EKUM AN YAJ-'ALANEE MA'AKUM FID DUNYAA WAL AAKHERATE

that He also grant me the opportunity to disassociate myself from your enemies, to (He) place me with you – both in the transient world and also in the next life –
