This is our respond: the visitors of the graves do not, in fact, address the dead bodies under the ground; they address the live spirits in the Purgatory (Barzakh). We have already discussed this issue when we talked about the Hereafter and the world of Barzakh. Here are a few Hadith in this regard:
(And We will most certainly try you with somewhat of fear and hunger and loss of property and lives and fruits; and give good news to the patient)٢;١٥٥.
(Rejoicing in what Allah has given them out of His grace and they rejoice for the sake of those who, being left behind them, have not yet joined them, that they shall have no fear, nor shall they grieve)٣;١٧٠.
(And when they shall contend one with another in the fire, then the weak shall say to those who were proud: Surely we were your followers; will you then avert from us a portion of the fire?)٤٠;٤٧.
