The above holy verse is true for all even for thenearest companions of the prophet.
We therefore have to judge them by their deeds, and we should have a resonable definition for them all. Those who were truthful at the presence of theApostle, at his absence too, did their best to guard thereligion and to observe his commandments. Theyremained faithful to their covenant and respected theirpromises.
On the other hand, those among his companionswho were hypocrites and vexed him, did the same afterhim.
whatever they did, was against Islam and Muslims.
