The criticism and rejection of ideas should be based upon their accurate understanding. Without a proper understanding of the viewpoints it is incorrect to start writing a critique.
In this article the author has tried to explain the method of assimilating ideas and then analysing them critically. He also points out the ill - effects of criticising without properly understanding the ideas and gives examples of such critiques to highlight the issue.

Scholarly parleys between the ulama of various Islamic schools has a long history. Islamic scholars used to visit eash other, thus benefiting mutually from each others knowledge.
The traditionists (muhaddithin) used to grant permission of narrating traditions to each other. This is one of most important ways of developing mutual understanding and bringing the Islamic schools nearer.In this article, the text of the permission (ijazah) of narrating traditions given by the great Sunni scholar Mahmud Aalusi to the great Shiah scholar Abu Abdullah Zanjani has been provided along with an introduction about Mirza Abu Abdullah Zanjani. The noteworthy aspect is that this 'ijazah' reaches back to Hazrat Imam Reza (A).

Bihar al - Anwar in the Dairat al - Maarif (encyclopaedia) of Tashayyo

Bihar al - Anwar is a great and unique compilation of a large mass of tradition and includes their detailed commentary.
In the Dairat al - Maarif -e-Tashayyo, which is a praiseworthy effort aimed at presenting the Shiah heritage, an entry by the name Bihar al - Anwar is found. This article is a review of that entry. The article discusses bibliographies, contents of books, the format of Bihar al - Anwar, and the manner of its compilation.

A critique of the Editing of Mukhtalaf al - Shiah

Mukhtalaf al - Shiah of Allamah Hilli is one of the important works of Shii fiqh. This work has been recently separately edited and published by two publishers: the edition of Intisharat of Jame -e- Mudarrisin and the edition of Daftar -e- Tablighat -e- Islami of Hawza Ilmiyeh Qom. The author of this article has compared both editions and pointed out their discrepancies. He, after a critical analysis, has reached the conclusion that the Daftar -e- Tablighat edition is more accurate.

This is the first article which has meticulously identified and introduced the writings of Hakim Jalweh. Altogether ٢٥ works have been discussed in this article.
